Meet the Team

Michael Murtland - is a REALTOR® with Comey & Shepherd and founder of The Southern Ohio Properties Team. 2021 will be his 12th year as a full time Professional Real Estate Agent. He has achieved the Circle of Excellence, the highest level of achievement designated by the Cincinnati area board of REALTORS®, seven straight years. In the past several years the team has sold over 100 homes and over 15,000 acres in 10 counties throughout Southern and Western Ohio. Mike graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Construction Management. He worked in the construction industry for a number of years, first as a carpenter and then as a Project Engineer for a large Industrial General Contractor. After moving to the Cincinnati area in 2008 his interest was sparked by Investing in Real Estate. It was not long before he became a licensed REALTOR® and began selling properties for clients. Since then, his REALTOR® business has blossomed finding his niche selling acreage consisting of farms, homes, investment, recreational and development property throughout Southern Ohio. As an avid hunter and nature lover, he has a deep knowledge and appreciation for the land he sells. His passion for Real Estate and the outdoors makes him the perfect agent for selling acreage properties.

From interning with local Real Estate companies through high school to flipping houses as part of the family business, Tyler has been involved in the Real Estate industry for many years. Born and raised in South-Western Ohio, he found his passion in the hunting and fishing worlds at a young age and is often found spending time outdoors any opportunity he has. Tyler has united his passion with his career in Real Estate, allowing him to sell the very land he loves. Tyler attended The University of Cincinnati majoring in Marketing and Sales, with a focus in customer service. Upon graduating in 2014 Tyler received his real estate license and joined The Southern Ohio Properties Team. Tyler caries the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant designation through the REALTORS® Land Institute, being Southern Ohio’s only ALC, adding an additional niche to The Southern Ohio Properties Team. When you combine his overwhelming desire to succeed and passion for customer care and fulfilment, Tyler can confidently say that he and his team are the agents that you are looking for.

Andrea’s interest for Real Estate began when she decided to enroll in several elective Real Estate courses while attending Ohio State. She pursued these interests further when she returned home to Florida and took a full time position as a leasing consultant in the Palm Beach area. As things progressed she began working part time as a REALTORS® assistant. In 2011 she returned to Ohio and her roots in the Hillsboro area. Shortly after, she earned her Real Estate license and began selling in Highland County. After meeting Mike Murtland on the other side of a large farm deal their relationship developed and in 2012 she joined Comey & Shepherd, REALTORS® to form the Southern Ohio Properties Team. Andrea quickly caught on to Mike’s real estate approach and fueled their drive to succeed in selling homes and acreage. Coming from a horse and farming family, she was the perfect addition to the team. Although very knowledgeable about farms and acreage, her focus is primarily residential sales. In addition to working with buyers and sellers, she helps tremendously with managing deals and getting them to the closing table. Her hard work and commitment to getting a deal done is second to none.
